The edge was nice and all, but...

I don't stay near it for long, these days. Honestly, when I first got the news about my loan being denied, I was in crisis mode for about six hours (which is ages for me, anymore). There was a time in my life when such news might have thrown me into a slump for weeks.

But really, within a couple of hours, I remembered one of my favorite phrases. "Don't give up." So I called the loan guy and left him a message basically saying, "I'm not giving up." I'm hoping to find out from him just what I need to do to get in a position that will make him want to loan me money and then do whatever I can to do it.

Right now, it looks like selling my car would solve the whole thing, basically. It's just a matter of finding a buyer tout de suite. I've been thinking of selling my car for several months now, anyway. I hardly ever really need it in my day to day life and it is kind of a large expense. I've priced it just below Kelley Blue Book value and if I am able to get that, it will not only get rid of the auto loan, but also leave enough cash that I could probably manage to do away with another creditor as well.

Also, if God decided to make it rain twenty dollar bills in my living room, that wouldn't be bad either.

So tomorrow I'm going to Busch Gardens with an internet friend turned real friend who is afraid of roller coasters. It is my intention to introduce him to Apollo's Chariot and see to it that they hit it off. I think it will be fine. I might take a camera so you can all share in the joy of the day with me, Will (nikmis), Kasey and Nicole.

So.. Is Will coasterphobia-free now? Was the theraputic method like a child having his head held under in the deep end to get over his fear of water?

Wow..I hope no one we know has tried to drown their kid to rid them of water fears. That method might rid them of all fears..mostly as a result of death.

But, Robbie, we must know, is Will free of this fear?

I'm with Will. I don't think you could pay me to ride another rollercoaster. Unless it looked like a caterpillar and my knees hit my chin when I get buckled in.
