Hmmm. I'm not sure how it's going to be, blogging from the iPHone. It'll do in a pinch.

Let me see if I ca add a picture from the phone. Well, that didn't work. I'm sure it can work but I temporarily give up.

Typing on this thing is kind of annoyinv, but other than that I love it. I mean, I have pandora.com in my pocket! And it has one of those awesum apples on teh back!!!11!!!

Good morning and Random

Brace yourself for babbling and typos.

I like the hot weather this time of year but I don't like how people keep taking off for vacation and stuff and it gets more difficult to keep in touch with everyone.

I'm getting more and more wound up for my own vacation, which is the first week of August.

Who do I buy half-decaf? I either want whole caff in the morning or no caff in the evening. Actually, if you have those two things, you can make your own half-caff. ^&^

I put up a new song on my myspace music page. I'm happy with how the music is, particularly the second bridge. But I got lazy on the vocals consequntly they are pitchy and I had to do so much computer magic to make them even remotely listenable...

It's a Burt Bacharach song. The Bomb Shelter are doing a 60s challenge and basically Burt Bacharach was the only good thing about the sixties.

Next we're doing a 70s challenge, then an 80s. I hope it stops there for a while because I'd be hard pressed to find a song I liked in the 90s.

Obviously, I stopped bleaching my hair. I also mowed off all that was still white. I wanted sideburns and you can't really get sideburns that white. They'll only get a sick yellow color. I didn't want to tleave them brown with white hair. I'm a monochromatic hair color kind of guy.

I went to a wonderful retreat yesterday for Christian Artists, put on by HisArt. Our host was the sweetest woman who had us all over to her studio (she's a painter and sculptor) and did a teaching on what it means to be an image bearer for God.

We had some quiet time in the woods, where, with the help of God, I finally made peace with the fact that I hate the woods. I mean, I like to see them. I'd love to be in a plush climate controlled room on an overstuffed sofa with great huge windows that look out over a view of woods and a big plate of brownies on the coffee table. There I could enjoy an encounter with God. But when I'm actually there with the dirt and the bugs and weird sounds that are certain to mean snakes nearby I just itch all over and can't really get quiet inside.

We also did our own clay sculptures which she is going to glaze and fire for us. I'll be sure to post pictures when I get my strange little thing back taht I made.

This morning, Church. This evening, probably Kings Dominion. Tomorrow, long busy day full of activities that don't involve hairdressing. I should bring my camera and do a trip report.

AT&T failed.

I went this morning to pick up an iPhone.

I went to the AT&T on Libbie because there's an Einstein's there. I got there at about 7:00 and there were only a couple of people out front so I had a leisurely bacon, egg and cheddar bagel and coffee. Very leisurely. I wasn't really interested in standing around in line forever.

When I walked outside, there were news people there getting ready to interview line-waiters. There were only about a dozen people outside the door. So the news guy was saying, "...and the line strrrrretches aROUND the building," as if there were a mob of screaming freaks over there. I waited until he was done because I didn't want to be on camera. When he finished filming, I walked around the corner of the building where the line was "stretching." Yes, indeed. There were at least another twelve people there. Whoop-de-doo.

So I joined the line and made small talk with a couple of the other guys in line. The sun was coming up and I was beginning to roast. It wasn't the heat, of course. It was the humidity.

We soon began to move toward the door. Then we stopped to roast some more. A very corporate-looking man in a white shirt came around with a clipboard asking everyone which model phone they wanted. Apparently, everyone (including me) wanted the 16G phone in black. I was about 30th in line and it seemed they only had 29 16G phones in black. So I just got out of line and came home.

ANTICLIMAX!
